Going Digital: The Practice & Vision of Digital Artists
The evolution of the digital art medium offers artists a revolutionary set of tools with which to express their work. Going Digital examines the process of digital art creation - the history behind its evolution as well as the visionary work of artists themselves. Beginning with three seed photographs, 17 artists were asked to use the images creatively
in making their own works of digital art. In addition to showcasing the artwork created by these cutting-edge artists, Going Digital also examines the creative process. Included are detailed journals documenting the artists' work methods as well as general observations about the commonalities and categories of art made digitally. Richly supplemented with examples of digital artworks from around the world and an extensive glossary of terms and concepts used in digital art and printmaking, Going Digital invites you to take a rare look at the challenges and opportunities afforded artists by "going digital."
